DescriptionWally Wood Frontline Combat #1 "Unterseeboot 113" Final Page 7 Original Art (EC, 1951). Here's a prime piece of EC art, by one of the all-time greats. From the tense Harvey Kurtzman-scripted "Unterseeboot 113," in which the war is seen from the perspective of an enemy submarine, comes this killer closing page by the great Wally Wood. Fabulous maritime details and Woody's trademark use of heavy black areas adds an aura of doom to the proceedings. The image area measures 13" x 18". The last two panels were rendered on Craftint paper and pasted onto the board; otherwise, the page is in Excellent condition. From the G. B. Morris Collection.
