Todd McFarlane Amazing Spider-Man #317 Page 18 Original Art (Marvel, 1989). A startled Dr. Charles Jefferson gets an office call from a desperate wall-crawling client -- he should know it's the typical entrance for the Amazing Spider-Man. Todd McFarlane takes you on an adventure ride, and the way he draws Spidey's physique with all its twists and bends revitalized the creepy-crawly nature of this eerie icon, as established by Steve Ditko. McFarlane was the definitive Spidey artist of the nineties, and with his hyper-expressive style, he was able to pose Spidey in the wildest positions and make him the most flexible person on the planet. This yarn was written by one of the most prolific writers of the Spidey mythos at the time, David Michelinie, who helped establish Venom as one of the major Spider-Man foes. The image area of this magnificent masterwork from "The Sand and the Fury" measures 10" x 15", and it's in Excellent condition. Signed by Todd McFarlane, in red pen, at the lower right.
