    Description

Todd McFarlane Amazing Spider-Man #310 Story Page 5 Original Art (Marvel, 1988). Todd McFarlane had only been on this title for nine months at this point (13 issues, as some months were bi-weekly). This page from the David Michelinie tale "Shrike Force!" is pretty much a quintessential Spider-Man page... Spidey saves civilians, which allows bad guy to get away, then has to run from the police, hopes the Daily Bugle will buy his photos, and laments on how he needs the cash. Couple that with Mr. McFarlane's powerful and acrobatic figure work and it is no wonder this title shot up to the top of sales charts! Todd McFarlane's work on Amazing Spider-Man was set to change the image comic's had in many people's minds. Comic were becoming more mainstream than they had been in decades. This page was created in ink over blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Terry Fitzgerald assisted with backgrounds on the story, however McFarlane inked his own figure work. Signed by Todd McFarlane in the lower margin. In Excellent condition.
