Tim Conrad (as TAC), Joyce Furman, and Larry Gaydos The Savage Sword of Conan #17 Page 45 Original Art (Marvel, 1977). A ghastly hag seduces warrior Bran Mak Morn with a promise of guidance on a desperate quest. Beautifully painted split-level composition, distinguished by Furman's exquisite airbrush highlights. Marginal notes provide some behind-the-scenes drama: Writer-editor Roy Thomas has missed a deadline, writes letterer Tom Orzechowski, but he will catch up soon. The tale derives from Robert E. Howard's "Worms of the Earth." Ink and dry-brush watercolors/airbrushing over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 10.5" x 15". Marginal scuffing and handling wear. Very Good condition.
