Description
Steve Ditko Strange Tales #141 Story Page 8 Doctor Strange Original Art (Marvel, 1966). The very first piece of Ditko Doctor Strange artwork that we have ever offered! And this one is a doozy, as it features not only the good Doctor, but also the Ancient One in three panels and Dormammu in five... and those are some striking panels too! Panels 7 and 8 are very nice close-ups, and Panel 9 is an iconic shot of a hovering Ancient One and Doctor Strange. The page was both penciled and inked by Ditko. It was created twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". Please note: the back of the art has a child's drawing done in ball point pen. It does not bleed through to the front nor is it visible from the front whatsoever. The top margin has a crimp and crease running across it, but not even close to the image area. There is a very minor discoloration in the far right edge of the margin. The bottom right corner has a crease, and the page is lightly toned overall. Even with the drawing on the back, the front side is in Excellent condition. Don't let this page slip through your fingers.
