Steve Ditko Beware the Creeper #4 Story Page 1 Original Art (DC, 1968). The opening title page for the story "Which Face Hides My Enemy?" features Jack Ryder... aka The Creeper! It's not hard to see threads of his previous co-creation, Marvel's Spider-Man, in the wild and wacky Creeper! The page was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 13.25" (to allow room for the indicia). Ditko's art on this title beautifully showcased his trademark style, and splashes are very rare in the market -- especially those featuring such a classic image of the Creeper! The credits box is a hand-lettered stripped-in section taped in from the reverse side. The top margin is production hole-punched. There is a bit of whiteout art and text correction on the page. Lightly toned and in Very Good condition. From the Glenn Danzig Collection.
