Description

Steve Ditko Amazing Spider-Man #22 Page 10 Original Art (Marvel, 1965). Who is afraid of a circus clown? The very image of evil clowns may have begun with issue #22 of Amazing Spider-Man, featuring "The Clown and his Masters of Menace," including the lovely but deadly Princess Python, bullet-headed Human Cannonball, and the scary Great Gambinos -- and Spider-Man is there to put an end to their wicked ways. It's a fun story, and this is an exceptional page from that issue, with a great image of the "spotlight" webbed logo in the last panel, and one of the most iconic Spidey poses of all time in panel four, as he swings into action on a strand of webbing -- wow! The art is all Ditko at his prime, penciling and inking the page on Bristol board, with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". It's a beautiful, problem-free page in Excellent condition -- and fresh to market, to boot -- that has to excite any Marvel True Believer. That's you, right? Better bid, bud!
