    Description

Shuster Studio - Unpublished "Riddle of the Iron Zoo" Page 2 Perry White, Clark Kent, and Lois Lane Original Art (DC, c. 1940s). What a find! This is a rare unpublished page from a vintage Superman story produced by the Shuster Studio. It features some key supporting characters in Perry White (with cigar), Clark Kent (Superman in disguise), and Lois Lane... there is even a copy of the Daily Planet! We only know of two other pages from this story to have ever surfaced... the splash page for this story was auctioned by Christie's in 1995, and page 3 was printed in Alter Ego #37 (Twomorrows, 2004). With this page, that only accounts for the first three pages. The "Riddle of the Iron Zoo" is still unsolved. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 18". The page is tanned, with foxing and handling in the margins. The top right corner margin is partially torn off, but not into the image area. There is a minor crease through the horizontal middle, and a minor corner ding on the bottom left. Overall in Very Good.
