Description

Robert Webb and Gus Schrotter (attributed) Fight Comics #50 "Risks, Unlimited" Story Page 6 Original Art (Fiction House, 1947). Webb, chief workhorse of the S.M. Iger Studio, pits heroic Rip Carson against Chinese terrorists. Many classic Webb touches, here, including an airplane that protrudes from one panel into the next (upper tier). Especially revealing to note the faces (Panel 2), which are emblematic of a distinct influence upon EC Comics' Al Feldstein -- who had apprenticed under Webb during the Iger Shop/Fiction House period. Ink over graphite on Iger-stamped Bristol board. Image area, 12" x 18". Moderate age-toning and smudging. Very Good condition.
