    Description

Robert Crumb Kafka For Beginners (R. Crumb's Kafka) Pages 54-55 Original Art (Totem Books, 1993). The conclusion to Kafka's great novella, The Metamorphosis, is depicted by Robert Crumb; here, we see the creature that was once Gregor Samsa dead, and the profound, liberating effect this has on his parents and sister. Crumb's eye for detail is terrific; check out the 1915-era streetcar the family is riding in, the period clothing, and small items in the Samsa's home. The art is in ink and graphite on blue-lined Bristol board, with an approximate combined image area of 13.75" x 10". The pages are matted and framed with Plexiglas together for an overall size of 23.75" x 19.5", and the art is in Excellent condition. Page 55 has been signed by Crumb.
