Description

Robert Crumb Kafka For Beginners (R. Crumb's Kafka) Page 147 Original Art (Totem Books, 1993). A page illustrating Kafka's short story, "A Hunger Artist," about the once-fashionable act of public fasting; here, the event's promoter (the Impresario), attempts to feed the starving man after the fast ends, who shows little reaction to the food being "spoon-fed" to him. The art is in ink on blue-lined Bristol board, with an approximate image area of 6" x 9.5", matted and framed with Plexiglas for an overall size of 15.5" x 19.25". Excellent condition.
