DescriptionRobert Crumb Kafka For Beginners (R. Crumb's Kafka) Page 136 Original Art Group (Totem Books, 1993). Published page 61, showcasing the "other" woman in Franz Kafka's life, Ottla, was created using two separate art pages. First, a larger panel was created on its own sheet of paper. This larger panel was then Photostatted (in a scaled-down size) and pasted down to make the camera-ready page. Ottla's face was reworked with ink and whiteout, while the smaller panel at the upper right of this second page is a pasted-down piece of all-original art. These moving and richly detailed pieces were drawn by Robert Crumb in ink and graphite on blue-lined Bristol boards, each with an approximate image area of 6" x 9.5". Each is signed in its lower margin by R. Crumb.
