    Description

Robert Crumb Kafka for Beginners Page 128 Original Art (Totem Books, 1993). It's not hard to understand the wide-spread fame of the themes of Franz Kafka. His evocation of nightmare, that pervasive dream-logic, produces a shiver of recognition in most anybody who reads his stories. Even his name has an otherworldly resonance, with its hard and clashing consonants -- Kafka. No first name required -- he often referred to his alter ego in his fiction, as just "K." -- a letter only, with no soul required. This Robert Crumb-illustrated classic, drawn in ink and graphite on blue-lined Bristol board and pasted-on phototype captions, has an approximate image area of 6" x 9.5", with an overall size of 9" x 12.5". The art is in Excellent condition, and it's signed in its lower margin.
