    Description

Robert Crumb Cavalier "Fritz The No Good" Page 2 Original Art (1968). Fritz finally sees his case worker, who quickly discovers that our feline hero has not been putting much effort into finding a job, in this second page from the final '60s adventure of one of Crumb's earliest comic characters. By the time this page first saw print, late in 1968, Crumb's world had drastically begun to change. His first issue of Zap Comics had been published in February of that year, and that success led to his being asked (by Janis Joplin) to provide art for the cover to the Big Brother and the Holding Company album, Cheap Thrills. Now, fame had found the former shy, withdrawn artist. The pages to this story were originally serialized in a men's magazine, Cavalier, before being collected in a book edition the following year. This page has an image area of approximately 9.5" x 12.25", and is in Excellent condition.
