Description

Robert Crumb Cavalier "Fritz the No Good" Page 10 Original Art (1968). Fritz the Cat meets Fuzzy's radical friends, including a character inspired by one of R. Crumb's real-life buddies -- the bike-riding Zap cartoonist Spain Rodriguez. From the story originally serialized in Cavalier magazine, and later included as part of the 1969 R. Crumb's Fritz the Cat oversized book. Crumb's somewhat "cavalier" use of violence toward women (like the double-slap Fuzzy gives his girlfriend in the last panel) was often sited by his detractors, like fellow UG cartoonist Trina Robbins; oh well, no one's perfect! This piece has an image area of 9.75" x 12", and is in Excellent condition.
