DescriptionRob Liefeld New Mutants #98 Story Page 15 Original Art (Marvel, 1991). Deadpool made his first appearance in this issue, and this was just the second out of only seven interior pages to show this wildly popular character. The movie "Deadpool 2" opens just a week after this auction, and that film will have the screen debut of Cable, who also figures heavily on this page. In fact, when we first meet Deadpool, we find out he has been sent to kill Cable!
This has to rank among the most desirable 1990s pages we have ever offered. Dare we call this book a certain generation's equivalent of Amazing Fantasy #15? Whether you go that far or not, we think you'll agree that bidding on this page (which is offered without reserve) should be very competitive indeed.
Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Deadpool's eyes were partially done in marker, as were a few other minor art elements. Signed by Liefeld in the bottom margin. The image area is 10" x 15.25". Both the left and right margins have one hole punch; otherwise, in Excellent condition.
