Description

Reg Greenwood Sparkler Comics #1 Story Page 2 Original Art (United Features, 1941). Here's a real gem from the Golden Age of comics--an original page featuring Spark Man (actually a criminal imposter), hi-jacking a fancy dress party. The Spark Man was an interesting twist on the standard Golden Age hero in that his identity wasn't immediately revealed to the readers! A nice little cliff hanger from this, the only original story in a comic full of strip reprints. Produced in ink over graphite on illustration board with an image area of 13" x 18". Page is toned. Wear and handling in margins. Minor surface tears and creases in margins. In Very Good Condition. From the Ethan Roberts Estate Collection.
