    Description

Phil De Lara Disney and Warners Cartoon Characters Preview Pages Original Art Group of 3 (Gold Key/Western, 1973). These late-in-life montages find De Lara as vigorous and as versatile as ever -- a lengthy career, devoted to the animation and comic-book versions of many famous corporate-trademark characters. The pictures form no story, but rather were designed to serve as coming-attractions pieces for various titles. The books represented here, all from 1973, include Mickey Mouse #142-143, Uncle Scrooge #105, Porky Pig #48, Beep-Beep the Road Runner #36-37, Walt Disney's Comics & Stories #393 and #395, and Bugs Bunny #151. Ink over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board. Image area, 13.5" x 9", 13.5" x 13.25', and 12" x 18". Light toning. Excellent condition.
