    Description

Peter Bagge Neat Stuff #9 Story Page 24 from "Hippy House" Signed and Dated Original Art (Fantagraphics Books, 1988). Bagge's most masterful creation is the tormented Buddy Bradley, an antisocial high-schooler. Here, Bradley unleashes an offensive tirade as an unwelcome visitor in the home of a fellow misfit. Bradley would become more famous as the loutish protagonist of Bagge's Hate books of the 1990s -- a novelistic arc that belongs in the company of J.D. Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye and Bret Easton Ellis' Less than Zero. Signed and dated at lower margin. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 12" x 16.25". Light toning and marginal adhesive residue. Excellent condition.
