Description

Paul Smith and Bob Wiacek Uncanny X-Men #168 Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor Original Art (Marvel, 1983). The very first appearance of Madelyne Pryor! She looked and sounded just like the (then) deceased Jean Grey. She would turn Scott Summers' world upside-down. She was his first wife, mother of his first child (who returned from the future as Cable), she survived a plane crash on the same day Jean Grey/Phoenix died on the Moon... oh, and she also becomes the Goblin Queen. But this is her very first appearance. Right here. The page is ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15" and signed by Wiacek in the bottom margin. Note that Madelyne's head in the last panel is a stat with minor ink and white-out touch-ups. The art has been professionally conserved. The paste-up text is tanned, there is a slight wear and soiling to the page, and three corners are trimmed. Overall in Very Good condition.
