Description

Paul Reinman Sensation Comics #83 Sargon Page 5 Original Art (DC, 1948). Golden Age Sargon the Sorcerer originals are harder to catch to than a dove flying out of a magician's hat. They are scarcely, if ever, offered in the marketplace. In fact, this is one of only two known to exist. Paul Reinman's Golden Age art, with its dramatic angles and deeply shadowed figures, inspired the "new wave" of young comic books artists who went directly from their New York City art high schools into the industry in the late forties. Alex Toth in particular enjoyed Reinman's approach. Sargon the Sorcerer works his marvelous magic in page 5 from "The Man From Nowhere." This page has an image area of 13" x 18", and the art is in Excellent condition.
