Paul Reinman All-American Comics #89 Unpublished Story Page 7 Green Lantern Original Art and (DC, c. 1947). Created for, but ultimately unused in All-American Comics (likely issue #88 or #89), this page from a Golden Age Green Lantern story featured GL's sidekick Doiby Dickles and his cab Goitrude. Reinman had been one of the regular artists for Green Lantern stories in the title, usually written by John Broome. In fact, this would have been the last GL story Reinman produced for the anthology title. The page was created twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 18". It is matted and Plexiglas front framed to 22.5" x 28.5". The frame itself is its own work of art, created by Dan Makara. The frame is covered with a collage of pages from Golden Age Green Lantern stories (...reprints, we hope!) featuring Doiby and Goitrude as well. The panel on the lower right corner of the frame is one that bore Paul Reinman's printed signature. To perfectly cap this presentation off, affixed to the top of the frame is a modern reproduction of a classic Paya Yellow Taxi tin toy, with a figure of the Golden Age Green Lantern inserted into the back seat! So clever! The page (stamped "Written Off" in the lower margin) is in Excellent condition. The frame is in Excellent condition, and the tin toy is in Very Good condition. The detailed Dan Makara frame can be seen online at
