Neal Adams Batman #251 Story Page 13 Original Art (DC, 1973). The art is 100% pure Neal Adams who provided both pencils and inks on this page where the Dark Knight begins to figure out "The Joker's Five-Way Revenge!" It's from the heyday of the Denny O'Neil/Neal Adams run. Stories produced by this team are at the top of almost everyone's Top Ten Batman Stories list. It was very rare for Adams to ink his own work during his time on Batman and Detective. In fact, this is from the only issue we can find that Adams penciled and inked every page. Featured are some wonderful close-ups of Batman, and Panel 3 has the added bonus of a photo background, a seldom-used technique that is always eye-catching. The page was crafted in ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The Zipatone has discolored to a golden hue, and a touch of the photo background is missing from the bottom right of Panel 3. The "continued next page" strip is held on with production tape. Overall the page is lightly toned and in Very Good condition.
