    Description

Neal Adams and Bernie Wrightson Green Lantern #84 "Peril in Plastic" Page 21 Original Art (DC, 1971). Here's a prized showpiece from a celebrated Neal Adams issue of Green Lantern. In this offbeat yarn, Carol Ferris is in Piper's Dell, the sea wall protecting the town begins to give way, so Hal responds as Green Lantern. After saving the town, GL is given a tour of the local plastic factory. Weakened by gas emitted by the plastic pins produced there, he is unable to fight back. This famous story features the memorable in-joke "Ka-loooota" sound effect sequence, a reference to artist Michael W. Kaluta, Swamp Thing co-creator Bernie Wrightson showed that he also was accomplished at superhero-style inking. This 10" x 15" masterwork features GL in every panel; it has some light marker fading in spots in the background details and two taped-in lettering corrections; otherwise, it's in Excellent condition.
