Mort Meskin (attributed) - "Chester" Page 3 Original Art (c. 1940s). By Jove, this is a great page! However, we don't know what book it is from. The derby-wearing main character seems to be named Chester. Wonderful example of the street tough/kid gang style stories of the 1940s. It's not hard to see influences from the Simon and Kirby school of thought on this page. Crafted twice-up scale in ink over blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 12" x 18".
