Michael H. Price and Graham Nolan Revenge of the Prowler #3 Story Page 4 with Serial Killer Ed Gein Original Art (4Winds Studio/Eclipse Comics, 1988). Early showcase for Nolan, who would become a principal Batman artist. Price's original script and pencil-roughs confront the Prowler (a vigilante crimebuster) with Wisconsin serial killer Ed Gein (lower right) -- a real-world menace who would inspire both the Robert Bloch/Alfred Hitchcock Psycho and Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. (Gein's comment about the Prowler's mask is chilling.) Inscribed by Nolan at upper margin. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15", glass-framed to 14.25" x 18.25". Excellent condition. From the Michael H. Price/Cremo Studios Archives.
