Description
Matt Baker Journey Into Fear #1 "Preview of Chaos!" Page 6 Original Art (Superior Publishers, 1951). Originally created as a Black Condor story in the late 1940s for a character revival that never happened, this Iger Shop created story gathered dust on a shelf for a while. When the Pre-Code Horror comics boom hit, Jerry Iger had the art and story altered to remove Black Condor. You can see the white-out used to change his caped costume into a business suit! Also, one paste-up text correction is missing and you can see newspaper man Thomas Wright referred to as Condor. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12" x 18". The page is tanned with paste-up residue. One section of text replacement is missing. The page is in Very Good condition.More information about Matt Baker.
