DescriptionMarc Hempel Gregory #1 Story Page 1 Original Art (DC/Piranha Press, 1989). The first page from the first Gregory story ever! Gregory is the story of a happy little boy who lived in an insane asylum and wore a straitjacket. The simple, almost cartoon style art was a perfect match to the charming and off-center stories in the series. Published under DC's Piranha Press imprint, which pre-dates their Vertigo imprint. This page was created in ink and Conte crayon over graphite on bright white Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Signed and dated 1988 by Hempel in the image area. In Excellent condition.
