Description

Lou Fine National Comics #17 Story Page 2 Uncle Sam Original Art (Quality Comics, 1941). With a script by Will Eisner and art by Lou Fine, you know this is going to be a great page! Nice close-up of Uncle Sam in Panel 2, Buddy Smith gets a nice shot in Panel 4, and Lou Fine gets to strut his stuff with some nice detail in Panel 5 and a crazy contorted body in the last panel! A stunning page from the glorious Golden Age of comics produced twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 18". The page is toned, with some water drop marks on the lower left, and edge and handling wear all around. A nice added attraction are some very loose pencil roughs on the backside. Overall, the page is in Very Good condition. From the Ethan Roberts Estate Collection.
