Kurt Schaffenberger - Superman Family #117, page 9 Original Art (DC, 1976). Supergirl clears an observatory of flames and smoke by creating a super-vortex, only to be challenged by a super-powered, alien firebug. Kurt Schaffenberger is rightly celebrated for his crisp, super-clean inking and his art for both Lois Lane and Supergirl. If you're not on the Schaffenberger bandwagon yet, feel free to jump on with this pulse-pounding page! The image area of the page measures 10" x 15", and the art is in Excellent condition. Kurt signed the panel at the lower right. From the collection of Richard and Wendy Pini. Richard says: "Once again, here's an example of my wanting to collect astronomy-themed artwork, and what better than a two-page sequence by Kurt Schaffenberger, the artist more than any other associated with the Silver Age Supergirl."
