Description

John Wayne Adventure Comics #5 Story Pages 2 and 4 Original Art (Toby Press, 1950). Wayne had become a major-league Hollywood star as early as 1939's Stagecoach, but his comic-book series kept him rooted in the rip-snorting matinée-Western style of his younger days. These pages from the story "Festival of Crime" feature Wayne with a sidekick named Bonanza. They were created at twice-up scale n ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12" x 18". Light toning, and some minor whiteout art/text corrections. In Excellent condition.
