    Description

John Romita Sr. and Mike Esposito (as Mickey Demeo) Amazing Spider-Man #39 "How Green Was My Goblin!" Page 16 Original Art (Marvel, 1966). Peter Parker... without his costume or web-shooters, cornered by the Green Goblin. It was John "Ring-A-Ding" Romita Sr.'s first issue on the title, having taken it over from Steve Ditko, and he came out swinging! He would go on to carve his name all over this title, redefining the character and helping to make this not only the top-selling title for Marvel Comics, but establishing Spider-Man as the de facto company mascot. Check out that bottom panel... it's large, gorgeous, and very reminiscent of the iconic cover image for this classic tale. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 19". Slight tanning, with a bit of production tape on the "Continued..." paste-up, otherwise in Excellent condition.
