Description

John Romita Sr. and Mike Esposito Amazing Spider-Man #39 Page 18 Green Goblin Original Art (Marvel, 1966). Fanboy Geek-out Alert! From John Romita Sr.'s first issue on Amazing Spider-Man (after Steve Ditko's departure), that huge panel at the bottom of the page is as iconic as anything that had come in the 38 issues before it! This half-splash page shows why Romita Sr.'s tenure on the title would redefine the character for generations of fans. He would stay on the title for five years and establish Spider-Man as Marvel's mascot character and MVP. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board, with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". Slight tanning, otherwise in Excellent condition. Key Silver Age twice-up pages like this just don't come around that often, so don't miss out.
