Description

John Romita Sr. and Jim Mooney Spectacular Spider-Man (Magazine) #1 and Amazing Spider-Man #116 Page 6 Original Art (Marvel, 1968 and 1973). The Smasher tussles with Spidey in a page that was meant to be printed in black-and-white, which makes for spectacular art! The story was re-presented in color a few years later in issue #116. The only changes to the art were that it was extended by about an inch at the bottom to accommodate the different format, and eyeballs were added to Spider-Man to fit in with an ongoing early-70s plot point that had Spidey wearing a child's Halloween mask while he tried to reclaim his real one! Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 15.75". Pinholes and normal handling wear. Very Good condition.
