    Description

John Romita Sr. and Jim Mooney Spectacular Spider-Man (Magazine) #1 and Amazing Spider-Man #116 Page 16 Original Art (Marvel, 1968-73). You couldn't ask for a page with four better images of Spidey swinging through the city! And since this was intended to be printed in black and white, the art has more weight and looks more striking than your average panel page that was designed to come out in color. This was, of course, later printed in color as well (it was story page 15 in the black-and-white magazine and page 16 in AS-M #116). While the word balloons were tweaked for the second version, no changes were made to the art for the later issue except that it was extended about an inch at bottom. While we've offered many strong Romita pages, especially lately, this surely ranks very high indeed on the list. Acquired directly from Mr. Mooney decades ago, this has resided in the purchaser's personal collection ever since. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 15.5". There's a glue stain in panel two where a word balloon stat is missing, other stains outside the image area, another missing word balloon, pinholes and minor handling wear. Very Good condition.
