    Description

John Romita Jr. and Bob Layton - Original Art for Iron Man #141, page 8 (Marvel, 1980). Tony Stark's business competitor, Justin Hammer, is nothing if not a practical man, as Beth Cabe learns in this steely page from Iron Man #141. John Romita Jr. was just reaching his stride in his three-year run on the Iron Man series, which was his first on-going comic book series. Here J.R. Jr. puts the pedal to the metal and revs up the tension to deliver this hard-edged page featuring a bikinied Beth Cabe, a snippety Justin Hammer, and a cold metal Force, all set in Hammer's spacious control center. Bob Layton's inks polish off this slick page. The overall size is 10.5" x 16" with a 10" x 15" image area. The art is clean with some blue line notations across several panels and along the bottom. Signed by Bob Layton at the bottom left.
