Description

John Prentice House of Mystery #37 "The Statue that Came to Life" Page 2 Original Art (DC, 1955). From the second Comics Code-approved issue of this title, a sculptor obsesses for days over a statue he created of a beautiful woman, until one night the statue speaks his name. In the fifties John Prentice's sophisticated, photorealistic style found a home at DC. His understanding of light, shadows and the way clothes shape themselves around a human body are proof of talent which later landed him the Rip Kirby strip. This Silver Age shocker has an image area of 19" x 13". Aside from minor touches of white-out, the art is in Excellent condition.
