John Byrne and Terry Austin X-Men #138 Story Page 12 Original Art (Marvel, 1980). Scott Summers' ruminative recounting of the history of the X-Men picks up during the "All-New, All-Different" period and features the tragic death of Thunderbird. This was one of the few times that John Byrne drew this version of the team in action as events depicted happened in Giant-Size X-Men #1, and X-Men #95, before he took over art chores from Dave Cockrum. Pictured on the page are: Wolverine, Banshee, Sunfire, Jean Grey, Storm, Colossus, Thunderbird, Cyclops, Angel, and Nightcrawler. Also pictured are Count Nefaria and the Ani-Men. The page was created in ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". There are whiteout text corrections. The page is signed by John Byrne on the reverse side. In Excellent condition.
