    Description

John Buscema and Frank Giacoia - Sub-Mariner #1, page 18 Original Art (Marvel, 1968). Now strikes the Sub-Mariner! Prince Namor confronts three surfacemen (namely Ben Grimm, Reed Richards, and Johnny Storm, of the Fantastic Four), and threatens to summon countless sea monsters from the briny depths, unless Sue Storm becomes his bride. Page eighteen from "Years of Glory, Day of Doom," the retelling of Subbie's first appearance in Fantastic Four #4, was written by Roy Thomas. John Buscema penciled this pulse-pounding page of the Avenging Son in action, and Frank Giacoia swam right behind him with inks to thrill! As an "art bonus," John Buscema drew some sketches on the back of the paper. The image area measures 10" x 15", and although there is some slight staining in the fourth panel, and two holes punched at the top edge (created during the production process), the art is in Very Good condition.
