    Description

John Buscema and Frank Giacoia Sub-Mariner #1 Page 12 Original Art (Marvel, 1968). Subby finally got his own book in May of 1968. And so started a long woven plot thread that lead to the "Serpent Crown Quest". The character in panel one is Paul Destine (aka "Destiny") and he is wearing the "Helmet of Power" that would, in issue #9, be revealed to be the Serpent Crown. This page is from a flashback through Namor's past. It is at the point he came to New York City after being frozen in ice for decades, but before he was found by the new Human Torch in Fantastic Four #4. This page is ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". It is slightly tanned with some production oil stains and soiling on the right side, and is two-hole punched in the top and bottom margins. Overall it is in Very Good condition..
