DescriptionJoe Kubert G.I. Combat #52 "Call For a Tank" Page 4 Original Art (DC, 1957). A nice battlefield page from DC's peerless War Comics artist, Joe Kubert, with a great "Mortar Fire" last panel. This is from the cover-featured story in G.I. Combat #52, with the title phrase "call for a tank" repeated several times. The art is in ink over graphite on Bristol board, with an image area of 13" x 18". The art has considerable water damage along the right side, but is still an attractive page; overall condition is Good. Kubert's 1950s art for this title is always a tough find, and this is the earliest page we've offered to date.
