DescriptionJack Kirby, Don Heck, and Mike Esposito Strange Tales #145 Page 2 Nick Fury Original Art (Marvel, 1966). Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. is the lead feature this issue, and what a pay-off it is! First off, the art is amazing. Jack Kirby supplied the layouts for Don Heck pencils and Mike Esposito inks. Three great talents all on one page. And we want to note that this page shows the quality craftsmanship that went into comics at the time, as each and every one of those eight "Nick Fury"s in the first panel were hand-drawn and not stats. Second, the content is of particular note to any fans of the TV show Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. We are making a guess here, but expect to see something relevant from this page to turn up in the series before too long. Also, the banter between Fury and Dum-Dum Dugan is just priceless! Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 19". Slight tanning. In Excellent condition. From the Greg Reece Collection.
