DescriptionJack Kirby and Paul Reinman X-Men #1 Story Page 3 Beast Original Art (Marvel, 1963). The readers' very first look at one of Professor X's rigorous training lessons at his school for "talented" students. Hank McCoy, the Beast, is put through his paces and demonstrates his uncanny athleticism. Issue #2 would be the first ever use of the term "Danger Room", but it is not a stretch of the imagination to guess that this was likely in the fabled Danger Room as well. Training sessions such as this were a genius device used by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby to show the characters using their powers even when there was not a battle going on. It also explained the pretext of Xavier's school. This spectacular piece was crafted at twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5", and the art is in Excellent condition.
