    Description

Jack Kirby and Mike Esposito (as Mickey Demeo) Tales to Astonish #71 Hulk Page 5 Original Art (Marvel, 1965). The Leader has the brains and the Hulk has the brawn, and if the Leader has his way, soon the world will kneel before them. Previously captured with the help of the Leader's humanoids, the Hulk has now escaped. Lots of action here, with way-out Kirby machinery, military personnel, the destruction of the Giant Humanoid, and crackling raw energy -- and the Hulk even gives Rick Jones the "breath of life" too. "Hulk-somely" penciled by Marvel master Jack Kirby and finished by Mike Esposito (aka Mickey Demeo), this Silver Age sensation from "Like a Beast at Bay" has an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". Aside from trimmed margins, it's in Excellent condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
