    Description

Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott Fantastic Four #58 Story Page 17 Doctor Doom Original Art (Marvel, 1967). Panel pages do not get much better than this one. The Human Torch faces "The Dismal Dregs of Defeat!" in this story that features Doctor Doom having siphoned off the Power Cosmic from the Silver Surfer! This was during a high-point for the Lee-Kirby dream-team, and a lot of the foundations of the Marvel Universe were still being poured right through this flagship title. The page was rendered twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 19.5" (including the stat paste-up ad for Marvel Super-Heroes on TV at the bottom). The board is lightly toned, with some production tape holding on the stat at the bottom. The reverse side has a "skinned" abrasion in the top center that does not show through to the front. There is whiteout text correction in the last panel, and a bit of whiteout art correction on Johnny's thigh. There is a very minor and faint stain on Johnny's face and in the margin to the right of that. In Very Good condition.
