    Description

Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott Fantastic Four #102 Magneto Page 8 Original Art (Marvel, 1970). This sinister show-stopper hails from Jack Kirby's final issue as the regular penciler on the Fantastic Four. In this capper to Kirby's incredible run, Prince Namor travels to Antarctica to explore a mysterious subsea shockwave. The Sub-Mariner's investigation leads to the Savage Land and an unconscious man lying on the ground. Who is he? Readers of the X-Men knew -- but unfortunately the Avenging Son did not. Once the Atlanteans take the Master of Magnetism back to Atlantis, he encourages Namor to attack the surface world. Will the Sub-Mariner fall for Magneto's ploy? Regrettably, the Fantastic Four make the choice easier for Namor, when the Thing accidentally fires a missile at Atlantis. D'ohhh. This was Magneto's first appearance after the X-Men title went reprint in the early seventies. This blockbuster from "The Strength of the Sub-Mariner" has an image area of 10" x 15", and the art is in Excellent condition. Signed by Kirby in the last panel.
