Description

Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers Journey Into Mystery #66 Story Page 11 Hulk/Xemnu Original Art (Marvel, 1961). He's big. He's strong. He's incredibly the Hulk. But he's not the Hulk you are thinking of! He's Xemnu the Titan! This was Marvel's first character named "the Hulk", and it was his second appearance here in the story aptly titled "The Return of the Hulk!" That's Xemnu (aka "the Hulk") in that last big half-splash page panel. From Marvel's pre-Hero era, this issue pre-dates Fantastic Four #1 by at least half a year! Created twice-up scale, this monster of a page was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Signed by Kirby in the lower margin. The board is very white and in Excellent condition.
