Jack Kirby and Chic Stone Fantastic Four #28 Page 2 Co-Starring the X-Men Original Art (Marvel, 1964). One of the earliest X-Men crossovers was in this issue, released between issues #5 and #6 of the uncanny mutants' own title. Chaos is brewing as the Mad Thinker and the Puppet Master team up in the last panel of this titanic thriller from the legendary Lee/Kirby yarn, "We Have to Fight the X-Men." In this Silver Age classic, the Puppet Master makes a model of Professor X -- and commands him to send the X-Men to attack the FF. When Charles Xavier regains control of his senses -- the Mad Thinker sends in his Android to finish off both teams. This masterpiece of Marvel Age storytelling spotlights the whole FF, the X-Men, Alicia Masters, the Puppet Master, and the Mad Thinker. How can you top that -- it's a certified show-stopper by the King, and also features numerous Kirby hand-written pencil margin notes, which represent a wonderful view into the history of the Marvel Method. This page has an image area of 12.5" x 18.5", and aside from overall paper aging and water staining at the upper left and lower right, it's in Very Good condition.
