    Description

Iger Studios Brenda Starr Comics Story Page 8 Original Art (Superior Publisher Ltd., c. 1949). The last page of this eight-page story wraps up a mystery... but creates a new one! The top margin indicates issue #10; however, this did not appear in that issue. The bottom margin indicates issue #11. It if was printed there, it would have to be from the story "The Thief Who Stole Tuesday". The context doesn't seem to connect to that title. Also of interest is the fact that much of the hand-lettered text has been covered up with new dialog, changing the outcome of the story dramatically. Originally the old lady was guilty. In the revised text, she was just a pawn. It is unclear if this was published or not, but it appears to have been. Created twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 19" (including the paste-up header). Some paste-ups are missing. Overall in Very Good condition.
