Hugo Pratt Salgari #148 Story Page Junglemen Original Art dated 05-03-50 (Editorial Yago, 1950). Hugo Pratt's "Junglemen" series obviously has some incredible "staying power", as it was reprinted from this first appearance a full 13 years later in Misterix #746, and then reprinted yet again in Italian in an unknown issue of Sgt. Kirk. Hugo Pratt is best-known for his Corto Maltese series. This page was created in ink over graphite on art paper when originally published. The individual panels of original art were trimmed out and affixed to a larger sheet of paper for its appearance in Misterix #746, with hand lettered text paste-ups and additional art to fill-out the panels for total image area of 9.25" x 13.75". When it was reprinted in Sgt. Kirk in Italy in the later 1960s, the Spanish text paste-ups were removed and replaced with hand-lettered Italian. The main image area sections of each panel are toned, with some glue discoloration showing through. In Very Good condition.
